24/10/17 – Short Horror Idea ‘Window’ FINAL DRAFT

I’ve been caught up with different work for the past couple of weeks, including researching and drafting more of my feature-length idea so when I returned after a short break to the ‘Window’ script I was able to look upon it with fresh eyes. Because I’ve decided to actually produce the script myself this meant that the next draft will probably be the last but to be honest the most I could do to it was simply reword certain phrases, fix spelling and punctuation mistakes and then format it differently to create tension, as some screenwriters such as Russell T. Davies find the use of spacing and short sentences in scripts to, much like fictional prose, create a sense of urgency or tension for the reader (Davies and Cook, 2010, 136) and I want to emulate a similar feeling in my work. It just meant that it ended with me not necessarily changing very much sadly.
